Refund Policy

General Refund Rule

Maple Car Broker's service fee is generally non-refundable once we have begun work on your vehicle request. This fee compensates our team for the work performed, which may include vehicle sourcing, dealer outreach, price research, negotiation, comparing offers, follow-up, and coordination. This applies to both service options:

• Option A — $500 CAD
• Option B — $1,000 CAD

Refund Before Work Begins

If we have not yet started working on your request and you wish to cancel, you are entitled to a refund. You should not have to pay for work that has not been performed.

We consider work to have begun once we take any of the following actions on your request:

• Contacting dealerships
• Beginning vehicle research
• Requesting pricing
• Evaluating inventory
• Negotiating on your behalf
• Building or comparing offers

Once Work Begins

Once Maple Car Broker begins substantive work on your request, the service fee becomes non-refundable. This is because real time and effort are committed to your request at that point, regardless of whether you ultimately decide to purchase a vehicle.

If We Cannot Find a Matching Vehicle

If, after a genuine search, Maple Car Broker is unable to locate a vehicle that meets the requirements you gave us, you are entitled to a full refund of your service fee. In this situation the fee is refunded even though work has already begun, because the sourcing outcome the fee was meant to produce was not achieved.

This is different from a case where we do find and negotiate a vehicle that matches your requirements and you simply decide not to move forward — in that situation, the fee remains non-refundable as described above, since the sourcing and negotiation work was completed and delivered.

Why This Policy Exists

A significant part of the value we provide is producing real, formalized pricing and out-the-door offers directly from dealerships. Getting to that point often requires substantial work that clients don't see directly, including sourcing vehicles, calling dealerships, following up, comparing offers, negotiating, obtaining written numbers, and using competing offers to improve your deal.

Some vehicle searches may involve many hours of research, outreach, negotiation, and comparison. Once that work has been completed, the value of our service has already been delivered, even if you later decide not to move forward with a purchase.

Changing Your Vehicle Mid-Deal

Once work has started, we are sourcing vehicles, contacting dealerships, and negotiating around the vehicle you told us you wanted. If you substantially change what you're looking for, some of that work needs to be restarted. The following change fees apply, consistent with our Service Agreement:
