Vehicle Brokerage Service Agreement
Effective Date: August 21, 2026
Introduction
This agreement explains what Maple Car Broker does, what we do not do, and the terms that apply when you use our service. Maple Car Broker acts as a buyer advocate: we work for you, the client, not for the dealership. We do not sell vehicles ourselves — any vehicle you buy is purchased directly from the dealership or seller.
Where our website includes a service signup or agreement process, agreeing to that process means you accept this agreement. This document describes the terms that will apply once that acceptance step is available on our website.
1. Scope of Services
New Vehicle Brokerage
Our services for new vehicles may include:
- Searching dealer inventory
- Locating vehicles that match your requirements
- Contacting dealerships on your behalf
- Comparing available options
- Negotiating pricing
- Helping coordinate the purchase process
Used Vehicle Search
Our services for used vehicles may include:
- Searching for suitable used vehicles
- Identifying options that match your criteria
- Helping you compare available vehicles
- Negotiating with dealerships or relevant sellers
Used Vehicle Inspections
Independent inspections are not included in our brokerage fee. You are responsible for arranging and paying for any independent inspection you choose to obtain. We may recommend inspection providers, but we do not perform inspections ourselves and we do not guarantee the condition of any vehicle. We strongly recommend arranging an independent third-party inspection before completing the purchase of a used vehicle.
2. Services We Do Not Provide
Maple Car Broker does not itself provide:
- Vehicle sales
- Mechanical inspections
- Vehicle warranties
- Financing approval
- Insurance
- Vehicle registration
- Licensing
- Transportation, unless separately arranged
Where we assist with coordination or provide a referral for any of the above, the actual service is delivered by the relevant dealership or third party, not by Maple Car Broker.
3. Client Responsibilities
As our client, you are responsible for:
- Providing accurate and complete information about your vehicle preferences and requirements
- Reviewing the options and information we present to you
- Making the final decision on whether to purchase a vehicle
- Completing all purchase documentation
- Finalizing financing, where applicable
- Arranging insurance
- Completing registration and licensing
- Finalizing transactions directly with the dealership and any other service providers involved
4. Service Fees
We offer two service options, depending on where you are in your vehicle search:
- Option A — "I already know the car I want": a flat fee of $500 CAD, paid in full when you begin the service.
- Option B — "I need help deciding first": a flat fee of $1,000 CAD, paid in full when you begin the service.
The applicable service fee is charged once. There are no additional standard brokerage fees later, other than a separately disclosed change fee (described below) or a separate service you choose to add. The brokerage fee covers work such as research, vehicle sourcing, dealership outreach, negotiation, and coordination on your behalf.
The service fee does not include:
- The vehicle purchase price
- Taxes
- Registration and licensing costs
- Inspection costs
- Transportation costs
- Dealer add-on products
- Extended warranties
- Any other third-party charges
Once we have begun substantive work on your request, the service fee is non-refundable, except where we are ultimately unable to locate a vehicle matching your requirements. Full details of when work is considered to have begun, and how refunds work in each case, are set out in our Refund Policy.
Changing Your Vehicle Mid-Deal
Once you engage us, we begin sourcing vehicles, contacting dealerships, researching, and negotiating around the vehicle you have told us you want. If you significantly change what you are looking for after that work has started, some of it has to be repeated. To reflect the additional work involved, the following change fees apply:
| Change | Fee |
|---|---|
| Features or trim change involving a materially different configuration that requires additional sourcing or renewed negotiation | $250 CAD |
| Switching to a substantially different vehicle, including a different make or model, that requires a new search and negotiation process | $500 CAD |
These fees reflect the additional work created when sourcing and negotiation must be restarted or substantially repeated. Our goal is to charge only for meaningful additional work, rather than requiring you to purchase an entirely new service package.
5. No Guarantees
Maple Car Broker cannot guarantee:
- The availability of a specific vehicle
- A specific purchase price
- A specific discount
- A specific savings amount
- A specific timeline
- Financing approval
Market conditions, dealership inventory, dealership pricing decisions, and lender decisions are outside our control.
Where we refer you to a third-party lender, we are not responsible for that lender's rates, approval decisions, terms, or conditions. Any financing agreement is between you and the lender.
For trade-ins, valuations and purchase offers are determined by the dealership or other third party involved. We do not guarantee any particular trade-in value.
6. Client Approval
You retain full control over whether to proceed with any vehicle. Maple Car Broker will not complete or authorize a purchase without your approval, and you are never required to purchase a vehicle simply because we sourced or negotiated an option for you.
7. Dealership Relationship
You purchase your vehicle directly from the dealership or applicable seller. Maple Car Broker is an independent buyer representative who communicates with dealerships on your behalf. We do not control a dealership's inventory, policies, pricing decisions, financing approvals, final contracts, or sales procedures. The dealership remains responsible for the actual vehicle transaction.
8. Limitation of Liability
Maple Car Broker acts as an intermediary and buyer advocate. We are not responsible for matters controlled by dealerships, sellers, manufacturers, inspectors, lenders, insurers, or other third parties. In particular, we are not responsible for vehicle condition, undisclosed vehicle defects, dealer misrepresentations, manufacturer issues, problems that arise after purchase, or the performance of third-party services.
To the extent permitted by law, our liability in connection with our services is limited to the service fees you paid to Maple Car Broker.
9. Service Area
Maple Car Broker currently provides services throughout Canada, except British Columbia. This service area may be updated from time to time; the current version of this agreement reflects the service area in effect as of its effective date above.
10. Governing Law and Disputes
This agreement is governed by the laws of the Province of Saskatchewan. Any dispute relating to this agreement will be handled in accordance with the laws of Saskatchewan.
11. Changes to This Agreement
We may update this agreement from time to time. When we do, the updated version will be posted on our website along with a revised effective date.
12. Acceptance
By accepting this agreement as part of the applicable service signup process, you confirm that you have read this agreement, understand the services we offer, understand the fees described above, understand your responsibilities as our client, and agree to these terms.
